From A dream of sharing experiences at sea to creating Greenland Sea Safari

Hans Djurshuus, originally from Sisimiut, Greenland, moved to Denmark in 1992. After completing school, he began a career with Maersk A/S as a Dual Officer, sailing the world for 25 years until his anniversary in 2022. Feeling a strong connection to Greenland, Hans returned in 2022 and joined Royal Arctic Line A/S. Inspired to create new opportunities, he partnered with entrepreneur Flemming to establish Greenland Sea Safari.

Flemming Bisgaard, originally from Vorupør, Denmark, has called Ilulissat home for nearly 30 years. After earning his helicopter pilot license, he moved to Greenland in 1995 and spent much of his career as a rescue helicopter captain, retiring in 2022 when Greenland's last Sikorsky 61 was decommissioned. Alongside his aviation career, Flemming founded BISGAARD TRADING, a company offering logistics, transportation, and accommodations for researchers and filmmakers.

Sharing a vision to showcase the breathtaking beauty of Ilulissat Icefjord and Disko Bay, Hans and Flemming acquired a custom-built boat to launch unique tours starting summer 2024. Together, they are committed to providing unforgettable experiences and exceptional service.
