Join our daytime tour to the Ilulissat Icefjord and experience the massive jaw-dropping icebergs.
The Icefjord is ever changing; In bright sunshine, the contrasts are stunning and in cloudy weather, endless blue shades emerge. During daytime we'll see fishermen busy at work and the icebergs are more likely to calve. Chances for seeing whales are very good. .

Meeting point is at the Tourist pontoon near Tankeeraq (harbour gas station) 15 minutes prior to departure.

Join our midnight tour to the Ilulissat Icefjord and experience the massive icebergs. We will spend the evening cruising among jaw-dropping icebergs. The low rays of the mesmerizing midnight sun turns the Icefjord into a magical place. Chances for seeing whales are very good.

Hot drinks are included in this tour. You are more than welcome to bring your own drinks - we'll pick up glacial ice if needed!

Try fishing like the locals do. Fishing is the main occupation of Ilulissat, focused around the delicate halibut. But the area holds much more than halibut. The Disco Bay is known for prestine fish and seafood - and we will try our luck for both cod fish, wolf fish, mussels and sea urchins.

To ensure an authentic experience, we will sail in an open boat. We use different fishing methods such as traditional jig, net and rod. It will vary from day to day, what we may catch and what method we are using. You can keep your catch.

In the summer season, the humpback whale, minke whale and fin whale are the most numerous species. The humpback whale is the acrobat among the great whales, despite its huge size up to 18 metres and 30 tonnes. When it breaches, it can launch its whole body out of the water and strike the surface with its tail and fins. It is easy to recognise by the bump on its back and its long white fins.

Our skipper is always updated on the latest whale sightings in the Disco Bay area, so usually it won’t take long for us to spot the first whale!

Whale watching from a smaller boat allows us to come close to the animals, without unnecessary disturbance of their natural habitat - underlining our pledge to sustainable and responsible tourism.

If you need fast and easy transportation from Ilulissat to Oqaatsut, our boat shuttle is the ideal choice. The boat trip to Oqaatsut takes about 30 minutes. 

Many people visit Oqaatsut to experience the everyday life of living in a remote settlement, where hunting and fishing is the main occupation. There is also a famous hiking trail between Ilulissat and Oqaatsut known as “The Old Mail Route”.

If you're into hiking, this is a must-do! The trail is marked with orange dots🟠 and is around 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) and can be done in 6-7 hours either way. With our shuttle, you can start yout hike back from Oqaatsut in the morning.

Close your eyes. Now imagine sitting in a steamy hot tub enjoying a glass of champagne, while floating in the UNESCO Ilulissat Icefjord surrounded by icebergs and the enchanting rays of the arctic midnight sun shining upon you. Sounds too good to be true? Well it's not!

Looking for fast and reliable transportation from Ilulissat and Ilimanaq? Then our boat shuttle is the ideal choice. We have multiple daily departures and can upon request be very flexible on departure times.

The trip between Ilulissat and Ilimanaq takes about 45 minutes. Our boat is an open boat with comfortable seating, allowing you to take in the spectacular views of the Ilulissat Icefjord while cruising towards Ilimanaq or Ilulissat.

When booking, please leave a coment about which direction you are traveling (Ilulissat to Ilimanaq OR Ilimanaq to Ilulissat).

Work with us to create an itinerary that matches your interests, whether it's whale watching, fishing, cruising around the stunning Ilulissat Icefjord or transportation service to other settlements in the Discobay Area. The flexibility of a private charter means that we can make changes on the fly if we come across something particularly interesting or exciting!

The rate covers the whole boat, up to 8 passengers. Minimum booking is 2 hours. PLEASE NOTE that booking this tour is only a request for availability (this does not require a deposit). Please leave a comment describing your request (how many hours and your proposed itineary).
Once we have recieved your booking we will confirm or suggest an alternative date within 24 hours.
